From the Chair: The 2010 Conference planning is underway and it looks to be another great program. The 2010 Conference will be held in Wichita at the Wichita Airport Hilton. Room reservation information is located under the Conference Tab on this page. This year we plan to have an expanded program with even more learning opportunities offered than ever before.
Since this is in Wichita, entertainment is easy to find and we have found a good one. This year we will enjoy dinner and a show at the Mosley Street Melodrama located in the Old Town District in downtown Wichita. The Mosley Street Melodrama must be experienced to appreciate. My descriptions would not do it justice. They are opening up just for our conference attendees so we will have the facility to ourselves.
Other association activities in the state include co-sponsorship of training sessions with the staff from DWR. We are also working on a College Scholarship program we hope to have ready by the conference.
Don’t forget to look into the ASFPM’s Annual Conference. This year it is being held in our backyard, Oklahoma City. It looks to be another great conference. You can check it out by following the link under the Conference tab. Hope you can make it.
