Welcome!
The KAFM 2009 Conference information is on the website. This year’s conference is shaping up to be another excellent opportunity to gain a wealth of knowledge from a varied group of professionals. Our opening speakers this year will be from the National Weather Service. We have also lined up an excellent program presented by the Division of Water Resources on “How to plan a fill project”. The Conference schedule is being finalized and will be on the website soon.
As in the past, Tom Morey (DWR) will be offering a CFM exam preparation class following the conference. The CFM exam is scheduled for the following Friday morning September 3rd. For more information about the exam, contact Tom.
Thanks go out to Sam Seeley, Lyon County Floodplain manager for heading up our conference planning this year. It can be a time consuming task, but he has yet to complain. Keep up the good work Sam.
In our continuing effort to fulfill our promise of continued education, the Association is sponsoring at least one RSDE (Residential Substantial Damage Estimator) class this fall, the first of its kind in Kansas. We hope that if it is well attended, we will offer additional classes around the state.
Hope to see you all at the conference!
Kelly
